THE IMMIGRATION SYSTEM IN THE U.K.





Since  31 March 1931, The U.K. operated  a points based  immigration system.The  points based system  only covers  nationals  from outsider European Economic Area(EEA) and Switzerland


The points-based systems contains of five tiers  These  are
  • Tier-1.highly skiled  workers, for example  the scientists , entreprenures.
  • Tier-2.skilled workers with a with a job offer, for  example teachers and  nurses.
  • Tier-3.low skilled workers filling specific temporary labour shortages(Currently suspended)
  • Tier-4.Students.
  • Tier-5.Youth mobility and temporary workers, for example musicians coming  to play in concert
